Veterinary Chiropractic

For Dogs, Cats and Horses

Veterinary Chiropractic uses the hands to deliver a controlled short lever, high velocity thrust to specific articulations to correct vertebral subluxations. The adjustment of spinal, leg and skull joints positively modifies the central nervous system. By re-establishing proper communication of the nervous system to the body Veterinary Chiropractic helps with posture, gait, voluntary movement, behavior and health.

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy includes Massage, Stretching, and Range of Motion. Just like us, pets move and feel better when their muscles and tendons are relaxed and comfortable.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field

Assisi Loop ® (PEMF) and Bio-Pulse by Respond use electromagnetic pulses to target the Nitric Oxide signaling pathway. This painless therapy decreases inflammation, reduces pain and increases healing. This means more comfort and faster healing for your pet.

Laser Therapy

Known as Photobiomodulation, Low Level Light Therapy or Cold Laser.
This therapy uses Laser light to speed up the healing process and increase comfort.  Used in our knowledgeable hands, it is safe and painless. Effects typically last 2-3 days with some patients having pain relief up to a week.

Exercise Equipment

We have fitness equipment to help your pet increase core strength, flexibility, balance and conditioning. Dr. Brumett will lead your pet through the exercises and teach you how to perform many of them with your pet at home.

Bracing

Orthotics or "Braces" can be applied to a variety of orthopedic or joint injuries. They are useful for post operative support, management of ligament strains, and as long term support when surgery is not a viable option. Braces for the knee, ankle and wrist are the most common.

What is a typical Rehab session like?

Initial exams take about 75 to 80 mins and will include discussing your pets history, a neuromuscular exam, initial therapy, recommendations for further care and a personalized internet accessible Home Exercise Program for your pet.

Treatment Sessions Run 30-45 mins and will include a brief exam, therapy and exercises appropriate for your pets condition plus additions to your pets home exercise program.

How Many Sessions should I expect?

Most pets need 6 to 12 sessions to have positive, lasting results. In chronic conditions such as arthritis, a weekly treatment can be performed long term to help maintain comfort. Dr. Brumett will discuss treatment and number of sessions with you at your Initial Exam.
